Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Specialist, Field Engineering to install, operate and maintain complex equipment at customer sites. You will troubleshoot, deploy, and modify systems while coordinating with customer staff and engineering teams.

Role requires a Secret clearance, ability to travel, and flexibility for deployments domestically and internationally. The position offers 12-hour shifts with rotating days and nights, supporting critical defense technology programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience; or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience; or in lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Must have at least a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install, perform checks, operate, repair and maintain assigned equipment at customer installation(s).
• Conduct mechanical and electronic preventive maintenance to predict problems and correct anomalies prior to downtime.
• Develop, construct, implement or modify a test plan to isolate anomalies to keep downtime to a minimum.
• Interpret and follow sketches, schematics, drawings and diagrams of assigned equipment.
• Maintain logs and graphs for analysis and trend detection.
• Modify assigned equipment with upgrades and perform temporary modifications to extend operation.
• Participate in field installations, upgrades, demonstrations and deployments.
• Maintain liaison with customer personnel to provide information, advice and services.
• Communicate with Engineering to highlight system defects and propose hardware modifications.
• Handle employee relations and development with Field Management.
