Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Reston, VA is seeking a Project Field Engineer (PFE) assigned to the Construction organization. You will oversee the organization, processes, and direction of Construction Field Engineering and support staff, reporting to the Construction Site Manager and managing field engineering activities for the project.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's or master's degree in engineering and 15+ years of relevant experience or 19+ years of relevant work experience.
• Must be a US citizen with ability to obtain/hold security clearance.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check, including education verification.
• Ability to obtain a site security badge and perform field inspections and walk-downs.

Responsibilities

• Manages all field engineering processes to ensure project, code and corporate compliance.
• Develops the Field Engineering organizational structure with input from the Construction Site Manager.
• Performs evaluations for field engineering and support staff.
• Ensures procedures align with functional requirements and coordinates approvals.
• Generates site-specific procedures to assure construction operations conform to design and regulatory requirements.
• Develops and manages Construction Work Package process for timely deliverables.
