Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic - Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech III - Field Service - CES) to perform maintenance and repairs on customer-owned equipment with minimal supervision, in a safe and professional manner.

You will travel to customer sites, document work orders, upsell equipment, and support the service department. If you have 3–5 years of experience, own tools, and pride yourself on customer service, this role offers growth and leadership potential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of engines and equipment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of complex diesel systems on customer equipment.
• Document work orders and service reports accurately.
• Upsell and demonstrate equipment to customers.
• Travel to customer sites to service equipment; maintain a clean, professional service vehicle.
• Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
