Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead and coordinate subcontractors and Turner trades on a Philadelphia project. The role focuses on safety, schedule delivery, quality, and budget adherence, with supervisory responsibility over assistants, field engineers, interns, and labor.

Reports to: Project Superintendent, Project Manager or Project Executive. Requires at least a bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of related experience in building construction with strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and minimum four years related experience.
• Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, contracts and drawings.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs, scopes of work and project schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and staffing levels.
• Coordinate trades to ensure coordinated project operations and resolve issues.
• Manage site safety program and subcontractor compliance with Turner standards.
• Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers and Interns.
• Create schedules and sequencing of work; develop recovery strategies to maintain schedule.
• Communicate with owners and architects on field issues and resolutions.
• Manage billing processes, WIP, estimates, payrolls and subcontractor payments.
• Ensure work installed in compliance with contract documents.
