Job summary

JARBO is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to act as the onsite safety leader for remote industrial, water/wastewater, renewable energy, and infrastructure construction projects, based near Twin Falls, ID. The role enforces OSHA standards, implements the safety program, and collaborates daily with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors in the field.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 to 7 years of construction safety experience, leading subcontractor safety efforts.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards (29 CFR 1926) and related requirements.
• Proven incident investigation and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Experience in delivering safety training and field coaching.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement the corporate safety program on assigned projects and develop Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs).
• Lead pre-construction safety planning and hazard assessments.
• Perform daily jobsite inspections and safety audits of employees and subcontractors, ensuring PPE compliance and corrective actions.
• Review and approve JHAs and support AHA development; verify permits for safety-critical work.
• Respond to incidents, conduct root cause investigations, and maintain records; assist with WC reporting.
• Deliver new hire orientation and toolbox talks; maintain OSHA documentation and safety reports.
