Job summary

The JF Petroleum Group in Alabama is seeking a Sr. Compliance Technician to perform routine and advanced inspections, testing, and certification of petroleum equipment, with responsibilities for maintenance and mentoring junior staff.

You will ensure safety compliance, manage certifications, complete paperwork, and support field personnel with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience with petroleum related equipment.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Commitment to safety and strict safety protocols.
• Leadership to guide junior technicians.
• Self-motivated with time management and deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Willing to travel and flexible hours, including overnights.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
• Complete trainings, maintain certifications.
• Maintain licenses and professional appearance.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment.
• Perform compliance testing/inspections at fueling sites.
• Meet due dates on work orders.
• Process paperwork for local/state or federal requirements.
• Follow customer protocols and housekeeping guidelines.
• Maintain inventory to improve first-time fix rate.
• Log work orders in ERP and check in/out equipment.
• Provide high level of service to meet goals.
