Job summary

JF Petroleum Group is seeking a Sr. Compliance Technician to perform routine and advanced inspections and testing at fueling locations across the region. You will maintain certifications, lead junior staff through mentorship, and ensure all work follows safety policies and client protocols.

The role requires strong problem solving, reliability, and the ability to travel for site work, including occasional overnights. A high school diploma and petroleum equipment experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years’ experience with petroleum related equipment.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
• Appreciate the importance of safety and following strict safety and technical protocols.
• High personal commitment to delivering quality service.
• Troubleshooting skills/logical problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate leadership skills and provide guidance to junior technicians.
• Self-motivate, self-start, manages time effectively, and meet critical deadlines.
• Multi-task and is highly organized.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Work independently without constant direct supervision and function effectively as part of a team.
• Properly use standard hand tools and job specific equipment.
• Exhibit a professional demeanor, strong communication, and proficient customer relation skills with excellent follow-up practices.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Willingness to travel and work some overnights.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
• Complete online and classroom training courses.
• Maintain certifications and licenses and keep them up to date.
• Ensure proper uniform and PPE usage and professional appearance.
• Maintain company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform regular and advanced compliance testing and inspections at fueling locations.
• Meet due dates in work orders for compliance work.
• Complete required paperwork locally and federally.
• Follow customer protocols and safety guidelines.
• Maintain inventory to achieve first-time fix rates.
• Process work orders in ERP and check in/out equipment electronically.
• Provide high level service to meet customer and company goals.
