Acuity is seeking a Field Claims Representative in Kansas City, MO to investigate, record facts, preserve evidence, and determine coverage. The role involves field work with a high frequency of in-person interactions, handling claims through settlement, denial, or litigation as needed.

Minimum 5 years of insurance claims experience and a college degree are required. Valid driver's license and routine in-person duties are expected.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of insurance claims experience.
• Knowledge of property and casualty claims practices.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Basic understanding of state statutes and case laws.
• Customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Organizes work and contacts all pertinent parties surrounding claim assignment.
• Completes thorough investigations to determine coverage and liability.
• Conducts investigations and provides customer follow-up in person.
• Evaluates reserve changes and inspects property damage.
• Identifies subrogation opportunities and potential fraud.
