Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Field Application Engineer (FAE) to engage RF and Photonics customers early, assess needs, and identify GF solutions. You will work with internal experts to convert opportunities toward tapeout, addressing adoption barriers and aligning technical and commercial terms.

You will travel up to 20% (domestic/international), apply IC design flow knowledge, and support customers through design wins while maintaining strong communication at all levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in semiconductor design, tapeout and process.
• Knowledge of IC chip design flows and tools from architectural definition through performance characterization for RF and Photonics.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with ability to influence internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers to understand their technical needs for semiconductor IC products.
• Assess the competitive landscape to advocate GF value propositions.
• Partner with account managers, product marketing, and technical experts to craft proposals.
• Collaborate to convert DWIN into tapeout and revenue.
• Address issues to resolve concerns and close opportunities.
