Job summary

Teradyne Defense & Aerospace Division is seeking an energetic Field Applications Engineer to develop and deploy test solutions for Digital, Analog, and RF assemblies. The role involves independent test program development, collaborating with customers to optimize test processes, and delivering production-ready solutions for defense and aerospace programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher degree in electrical/computer engineering or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in test engineering.
• Experience with analog, digital, mixed-signal and RF testing.
• Programming on Teradyne or ATE platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug and deployment of test solutions for Digital, Analog and RF based assemblies.
• Test program software development, often done independently.
• Analyze problems and recommend solutions on Teradyne ATE platform.
• Able to work with test engineering customers to understand and improve test processes.
• Making recommendations to improve quality of test coverage.
• Release to production of the test solution involving environmental and automation requirements
• Discovery of customer requirements with focus on: a) Conceptual design of hardware, software and test cell integration. b) Electrical and mechanical H/W schematics.
• Demonstrate tester capability for customer evaluations
• Assist customers on tester operation and capability
• Provide training, technical exchanges and technical papers
• Develop strong customer relations at a technical level, to gain further insight to direction and needs of the customer.
