Analog Devices, Inc. seeks a Staff Field Applications Engineer to provide strategic technical leadership for a major automotive customer in the San Francisco Bay Area and to support regional priorities.

You will work with customer architecture, hardware, software, and validation teams on fast-paced development programs. You will lead engagements from concept through production, translate requirements into differentiated ADI solutions, and collaborate with product teams on roadmaps, training, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering.
• Typically 8+ years of relevant field applications or engineering experience.
• Proven success leading strategic customer engagements from architecture to production.
• Strong fundamentals and board/system-level design experience.
• Hands-on measurement, characterization, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into solution strategies.
• Cross-functional leadership and clear communication with technical and executive audiences.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead FAE and system-level authority for a strategic automotive customer from concept through production.
• Build trusted relationships with customer engineering teams and translate requirements.
• Influence architecture and design decisions through proposals, demonstrations, and PoC.
• Provide hands-on design-in support, including design reviews, simulation, and validation.
• Coordinate cross-functional ADI resources and share customer insights with stakeholders.
• Partner with product teams to influence roadmaps and deliver technical presentations and training.
• Support additional automotive customers and regional priorities as needed.
