Job summary

Flex is seeking a Senior Field Applications Engineer to support customers in the California Bay Area and remotely. You will guide design, fabrication, and assembly goals with technical expertise, both pre- and post-sales, to ensure alignment with customer specifications.

The role requires strong analog/mixed-signal expertise, hands-on lab capabilities, and collaboration with design teams to shape roadmaps. Occasional travel and lab work will be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience directly working with analog circuit design/troubleshooting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics (or closely related field) highly preferred, OR equivalent experience.
• Technically competent in the analog/mixed signal design to solve product and system level complex issues.
• Technically competent in a lab setup to test, characterize, and emulate customer issues with Flex products and complex customer boards.

Responsibilities

• Provide best in class support by closing customer technical questions related to manufacturing capabilities.
• Provide hands on lab support in Flex or the customer lab, locally, which could range from 10% to 60% of the time, depending on customer needs/design cycles.
• Review customer requirements, identify and communicate potential issues and provide best fit solutions matching Flex capability and customers’ specifications.
• Contribute to development of complex product roadmaps by providing field feedback to the design teams.
• Define initial project/product scope and prepare project plans to meet customers’ expectations.
• Develop and present technical seminars for customers and sales personnel to promote employer's manufacturing capabilities, services, available technologies, manufacturing process and quality.
• Prepare and maintain required documentation.
