Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) seeks a Senior Field Applications Engineer to join our West Coast Sales Team in Santa Clara, CA. The role focuses on leading technical aspects of the sales cycle and supporting product development and presentations.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in engineering and 10+ years of experience in product marketing and sales technical support. Travel may be required; a company vehicle is provided and a broad benefits package is offered.

Position: Senior Field Applications Engineer

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Amphenol High Speed and Commercial Products Groups are the market leaders for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom and Diverse markets (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking a Senior Field Applications Engineer to join our West Coast Sales Team in Santa Clara, CA.

• Engineering resource on the sales team to lead technical aspects of the sales cycle
• Provide technical marketing support for the development and implementation of Amphenol products
• Prepare materials and participate in product presentations
• Provide customer service to solve complex interconnect problems and technical inquiries
• Help devise strategies to differentiate our products and solutions from our competitors
• Meet and exceed strategic objectives
• Some travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering
• Minimum of 10years displayed experience providing product marketing and sales technical support to produce design wins
• Experience with modeling tools and Microsoft Office Products

• Ability to effectively communicate across the engineering and managerial functions of a business
• Strong organization and presentation skills
• High level customer service and ability to build relationships with customers
• Modeling tools (Pro E or Solidworks)

The base salary range for this position is $148,870 $214,500USD annually. In determining rate of pay, Amphenol considers a variety of nondiscriminatory factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant industry experience, qualifications, skills, and education. It would be rare for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a given role. Base salary is one facet of Amphenol's total rewards package which includes participation in our comprehensive benefits program with medical, dental, and vision benefits effective day 1, vacation, sick leave, personal days, paid holidays, life insurance, short/long term disability, and matching 401K. Our Field Applications Engineers are also eligible to participate in an annual incentive bonus program and provided with a company vehicle.
