Job summary

Comlink Solutions, LLC in Minneapolis, MN seeks an experienced Sr. Fiber Optic Technician to splice and troubleshoot large fiber networks. You will read splice documents, lead jobs, and ensure safety and quality across field operations.

The role requires 3+ years of splicing experience, proficiency with Fujikura fusion splicing and OTDR, and a valid driver’s license. Night shift differential applies for after-hours work.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent training/experience required.
• Minimum 3 years splicing experience on large fiber networks.
• Expert knowledge using Fujikura fusion splicing equipment.
• Expert knowledge using OTDR and related testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Read splice documents and network designs prior to work.
• Interface with customers to discuss requirements and troubleshoot.
• Plan and lead jobs from start to finish; supervisor of junior technicians.
• Perform fusion splicing of fiber optic cables indoors and outdoors.
• Follow OTDR inspection and testing procedures and document results.
• Maintain accurate splice records and job-site notes.
• Ensure safety compliance and proper use of equipment and tools.
• Keep vehicle, inventory, and tools in good condition.
