Job summary

CBRE is seeking a senior technical subject matter expert to evaluate, validate, and qualify fiber optic technologies, cabling, and connectivity solutions. You will serve as a key liaison between engineering groups, manufacturers, testing teams, and suppliers, located in Fremont, CA.

You will review validation data (IL, RL, Reflectance, OTDR, continuity, polarity, reliability), develop technical reports and risk assessments, and provide actionable recommendations to improve performance,

Qualifications

• 5+ years fiber optic industry experience; 10+ years preferred.
• Experience in fiber optic manufacturing, telecom infrastructure, ISP/OSP deployment or related environments.
• Expertise in ISP/OSP fiber infrastructure and reliability testing data.
• Strong ability to interpret IL, RL, Reflectance and OTDR results.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical authority on fiber optic cable technologies and infrastructure applications.
• Review and interpret validation results including IL, RL, Reflectance, OTDR, continuity and reliability data.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, manufacturers and testing organizations.
• Provide technical recommendations on performance, reliability and deployment readiness.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Develop technical reports, validation summaries and risk assessments.
