Job summary

Computacenter seeks a Principal Consultant (Fiber Network Architect) to lead hyperscale fiber infrastructure design, deployment, testing and QA in large data center projects. You will act as SME, guide clients, and drive standards compliance across complex engagements.

You will partner with executives to scope projects, develop SOWs, manage budgets and timelines, and mentor project teams. A BICSI RCDD certification and 5+ years in hyperscale fiber environments are required; US work eligibility

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on fiber infrastructure experience in hyperscale data centers.
• Current BICSI RCDD certification is required.
• Proven ability to lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across complex fiber environments.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and fiber matrices for large deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements and ensure projects align with business objectives.
• Identify and convert opportunities into projects with compelling proposals.
• Plan, schedule, and manage multiple fiber deployments across sites.
• Provide SME guidance on design, testing, and acceptance criteria.
• Mentor project teams and review field performance against standards.
