Job summary

Blu Omega is seeking a FIAR Compliant Consultant Senior to support the Space Development Agency's financial improvement and audit remediation efforts for the DoD/Air Force. This role reinforces FIAR-compliant processes to address financial assertions and aims for an unmodified FY2027 audit.

Location is on-site in El Segundo, CA (LA Airforce Base) with a Secret clearance requirement. The role involves extensive data analysis, reporting, and process automation to strengthen financial control.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting internal controls walkthroughs and effectiveness testing.
• Experience supporting audit-readiness initiatives.
• Managing audit workpapers and tracking open items.
• Responding to PBC requests and coordinating audit samples.
• Asset record and asset-valuation analysis experience.
• Report development and trend identification skills.
• Experience automating financial or audit-support processes.
• Familiarity with FIAR requirements and DoD or Air Force environments.

Responsibilities

• Support asset beginning-balance activities, asset valuation and reconciliation.
• Conduct controls walkthroughs and design/operating effectiveness testing.
• Support audit readiness including responding to PBC requests and tracking items.
• Develop and document procedures; monitor control/compliance activities.
• Contribute to financial/operational reporting and data analysis.
• Support training and knowledge transfer efforts.
• Identify financial trends and anomalies; automate recurring processes.
• Manage audit workpapers and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with client-provided audit samples and requests.
