Job summary

Blu Omega is seeking a FIAR Compliant Consultant Senior to support the Space Development Agency’s financial improvement and audit readiness efforts for the Department of the Air Force. This on-site role in El Segundo, CA focuses on establishing FIAR-compliant processes and helping achieve an unmodified FY2027 audit opinion.

Responsibilities include executing controls, responding to PBC requests, documenting procedures, and automating repetitive tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience with internal controls walkthroughs and testing.
• Experience supporting audit-readiness initiatives.
• Experience managing audit workpapers and tracking open items.
• Ability to respond to PBC requests and coordinate audit samples.
• Asset record and asset-valuation analysis experience.
• Report development and data analysis skills.
• Experience automating financial/audit processes.
• Familiarity with FIAR requirements and DoD/Air Force finance environments.

Responsibilities

• Support equipment beginning-balance activities and asset valuation.
• Conduct controls walkthroughs and testing of design/operating effectiveness.
• Assist with PBC requests and tracking open items for audits.
• Develop procedures and monitor control/compliance activities.
• Contribute to financial/operational reporting and data analysis.
• Support training and knowledge transfer for audit readiness.
• Identify financial trends and anomalies for remediation.
• Automate recurring reconciliations and status reporting.
• Manage audit workpapers and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with client-provided audit samples and requests.
