Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking an experienced OB sonographer to perform high-risk obstetric ultrasound exams, including fetal echocardiography, and assist radiology during invasive procedures. You will assess patient status using clinical information from multiple sources to guide care.

The role requires board eligibility or RDMS in OB/GYN, ARDMS certification, BLS, and 2+ years as an ultrasound technologist with 1 year in high-risk OB. Seattle area, part-time, on-site.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound training program and is board eligible or RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) in OB/GYN.
• Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 2 years of experience as an ultrasound technologist
• 1 year of high-risk OB experience

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of sonographic examinations relating to high-risk OB patients, including Fetal Echo.
• Assists radiologist and/or perinatologist during invasive procedures.
• Makes a clinical judgement of the patient's condition based on information from referring physician, medical records, patient interview and assessments.
