Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking a leader at the intersection of protein engineering, computational chemistry, and artificial intelligence to transform client R&D in Life Sciences and related industries. You will join a global scientific AI team to build scalable capabilities and drive innovations that shape how clients innovate.

You will mentor junior colleagues, publish and present thought leadership, and help advance McKinsey's capabilities in scientific AI across multiple industries.

Qualifications

• Proven mastery of computational proteomics, protein engineering, computational chemistry or related disciplines.
• Deep knowledge of AI methods and analytical technologies including ML, foundation models, Bayesian methods and causal inference.
• Ability to translate complex methods for executive stakeholders and guide scalable solutions.
• Experience leading or coordinating diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Track record of external engagement through publications, conferences, and talks.
