Job summary

IFS is seeking a seasoned Oracle DBA to own enterprise-grade database platforms across cloud and on-premises environments in a hybrid US role. You will lead security, backups, performance, and compliance while collaborating with R&D and operations teams to deliver resilient services.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of Oracle DBA experience, experience with RAC/ASM, Exadata, and automation via shell scripting, plus familiarity with FedRAMP/NIST controls.

Qualifications

• 6+ years Oracle DBA experience in enterprise or cloud environments.
• 2+ years supporting an additional database platform.
• 3+ years automating tasks through shell scripting.
• Experience in regulated environments (FedRAMP, FISMA, HIPAA, etc.).
• Experience with ITSM platforms such as Jira or ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Own design, implementation, and support of mission-critical database platforms.
• Serve as senior DBA escalation point for complex issues.
• Collaborate with R&D to improve database architecture.
• Deliver database expertise to cloud and on-premises customers.
• Maintain security, compliance, backups, and disaster recovery.
