Job summary

IFS is seeking a Database Administrator to own the design, implementation, and operation of mission-critical database platforms across cloud and on-prem environments. You will ensure security, performance, and compliance for U.S. federal cloud workloads and collaborate with security, networking, and DevOps teams.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years as an Oracle DBA, experience with RAC/ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and automation via shell scripts. Strong FedRAMP exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ years Oracle DBA experience in enterprise or cloud environments.
• 2+ years supporting an additional database platform.
• 3+ years automating tasks through shell scripting.
• Experience operating in regulated environments (FedRAMP, FISMA, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
• Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, implementation, support, availability, security, and performance of mission-critical database platforms.
• Act as senior DBA escalation point for complex customer and platform issues.
• Collaborate with R&D to improve architecture and product releases.
• Deliver database expertise to cloud and on-premises customers.
• Ensure FedRAMP compliance and audit readiness.
• Develop automation to improve platform reliability and efficiency.
