Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Senior Federal Field Services Manager based at the customer site in Washington, DC. You will lead a team of about 6 engineers, overseeing ASTRO 25 backhaul architectures, core operations, and vendor coordination to ensure mission-critical uptime.

You will collaborate with pre/post-sales teams, design network solutions, enforce documentation standards, and manage subcontractors to meet schedules on federal contracts. U.S.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in network architecture and design methodologies.
• Diagnostics and performance assessment experience on active networks.
• Certifications such as JNCIA or NRS I preferred.
• Advanced routing knowledge (BGP, OSPF, ISIS).
• MPLS design and deployment experience.
• LAN switching protocols knowledge.
• Experience with Juniper, Nokia, HP hardware.
• ASTRO 25 system knowledge.
• Office/Visio/Workspace proficiency.
• Ability to work with vendors and partners.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Pre-Sale and Post-Sale teams to define implementation methodologies.
• Define and design network architectures supporting ASTRO 25 and backhaul systems.
• Produce network diagrams and technical drawings to standards.
• Manage lifecycle of third‑party vendor hardware within the portfolio.
• Oversee subcontractors to meet technical requirements and schedules.
• Supervise ASTRO core operations including radio programming and CORE tech integrations.
