Planate Management Group (PMG) seeks a Contract Specialist III to lead complex federal acquisitions for the Department of Veterans Affairs. You will deliver advanced acquisition support, craft strategies, and ensure compliance with FAR, VAAR, and VA policies, while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires 6+ years in acquisition support, U.S. work history for security clearance, and fluency in English. PMG offers robust benefits and an opportunity to impact nationwide mission support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business Management, Accountancy.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in comprehensive acquisition support with working knowledge of FAR.
• Specialized experience in one or more: construction/A-E solicitations and contracts; complex service solicitations/contracts; real property or lease-related solicitations/contracts.
• FAC-C or DAWIA Level III in Contracting preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor acquisition staff.
• Must have stayed/worked in the US within the last 10 years for VA clearance.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle acquisition activities for complex contracts.
• Conduct market research and document capability analyses.
• Develop acquisition strategies, IGCEs, and solicitation plans.
• Prepare RFQs, RFPs, and solicitations; ensure FAR/VA policy compliance.
• Assist with proposal/evaluation, including price/cost analyses.
• Prepare and administer contract awards, modifications, options, and close-out.
• Monitor contractor performance, schedules, and compliance; resolve issues.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff on acquisition planning and execution.
• Maintain contract documentation in the agency system and FPDS.
• Ensure timely submission of deliverables and status reports.
