Job summary

Planate Management Group is seeking a Contract Specialist III to manage complex federal acquisitions for the Department of Veterans Affairs. This is a senior-level position requiring extensive expertise in contracting, including construction and complex services.

The ideal candidate will oversee full lifecycle acquisition activities and ensure compliance with federal regulations, while also mentoring junior acquisition staff. Salary ranges from $80k to $90k per year.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in comprehensive acquisition support activities.
• At least 3 years in construction or A‑E solicitations and contracts.
• At least 5 years with complex service solicitations (e.g., healthcare).

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle acquisition activities for complex contracts.
• Prepare solicitations and ensure compliance with FAR, VAAR.
• Develop acquisition strategies and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Monitor contractor performance and resolve issues as needed.
