Kaizen is a federal contracts-focused software company actively growing its team in the United States. The role supports the BD and operations teams by managing complex compliance, pricing input, and risk assessment on proposals, while coordinating with government COs/AOs on active contracts.

You will own the obligation register, run the compliance calendar, and oversee subcontractor onboarding, with tight deadlines and high accountability in a small team setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of federal contracts or subcontracts administration on the contractor side.
• FAR and DFARS fluency, including flowdown matrices and applicability thresholds.
• Built a compliance register or calendar, not just used one.
• DoD contract experience, including FAR-based awards or OTAs.
• GSA Schedule administration: catalog maintenance, pricing justifications, BPA setup and updates.
• Direct submissions into SAM, PIEE or WAWF.
• Comfortable on a small team with independent ownership of the week.
• Experience managing subcontractors or teaming partners against scope & milestones.
• Negotiation experience on federal contracts, not just post-award admin.
• Familiar with data rights and IP provisions in federal software contracts.
• Eligible to work with CUI.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the obligation register across every federal agreement; keep it current.
• Run the compliance calendar: training certificates, notices, postings, annual filings.
• Make applicability calls on thresholds and commercial-item carve-outs.
• Administer federal portals: SAM reps/certs, PIEE and WAWF for invoicing.
• Review flowdowns on new subcontracts before signature; flag risks.
• Onboard subcontractors: context, access, security, expectations; track scope.
• Route execution to People Ops, IT, and security; map ownership.
• Serve as primary interface with government COs and AOs on contracts.
• Support BD/capture with contract strategy, pricing input, and T&C risk.
• Manage clause interpretation with outside counsel.
