Job summary

Unified Business Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Oversight Engineer to support NAVFAC Northwest construction activities involving major military infrastructure and facility projects.

The role reviews contractor performance, schedules, RFIs, submittals, QC documentation, safety, cost proposals, and construction progress, and requires U.S. citizenship, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture or Engineering.
• 10+ years of construction management experience.
• Minimum 1 year of specialized NAVFAC/USACE CIP experience.
• Experience reviewing RFIs, submittals, schedules, and QC activities.
• Knowledge of Federal construction requirements and UFGS specs.
• Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling.
• Ability to obtain Government access/security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to perform construction-site inspections.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities for compliance with contract plans and specs.
• Review RFIs, submittals, and contractor correspondence.
• Evaluate contractor quality-control programs and workmanship.
• Review schedules, look-ahead schedules, and delays.
• Identify schedule variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Review safety plans, AHAs, and environmental permits.
• Maintain documentation, daily reports, and photo logs.
• Assist with change orders, cost proposals, claims, and delay analyses.
• Support project closeout, warranty docs, and final acceptance.
• Provide written status updates, reports, and briefings.
