Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is hiring a construction inspector for federal projects based in Devens, MA. You will deliver surveillance reports, support change orders, and develop inspection requirements to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years on large DoD/USACE programs, familiarity with RMS 3.0 and OSHA EM 385-1-1, and a high school diploma. US citizenship and background clearance are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; construction-related degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience on large, complex federal construction projects; DoD or USACE preferred.
• Experience using RMS 3.0 and three-phase inspection process.
• Experience with OSHA and EM 385-1-1 safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Delivers surveillance reports on all phases of construction for compliance with plans and specs to government personnel.
• Supports investigation and preparation of change orders.
• Develops detailed inspection requirements and control methods.
• Observes construction phases for compliance with schedules and specs; identifies problems and recommends changes.
• Performs inspections and completes daily site reports with comments on progress, safety, and subcontractor workforce.
• Assists in all phases of the contract modification process.
• Reviews and analyzes contractor plans and submittals for approval actions.
