Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Sr. Federal Certification Engineer based in the United States. You will drive certification projects (CC, FIPS, DoDIN) for networking products, guiding labs, engineers, and QA teams while maintaining cryptographic compliance.

You will work with cross-functional teams to identify gaps, document requirements, and ensure regulatory alignment in a remote, national-US setting. Strong software knowledge in C/C++, Python, or Go is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum four years in roles involving government certifications or security testing.
• At least three years with certification frameworks such as Common Criteria, FIPS, or DoDIN.
• Experience with cryptographic modules and software development or maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Manage certification activities: support Common Criteria, FIPS, and DoDIN across product lines.
• Coordinate laboratory evaluations with accredited labs and track milestones.
• Develop and maintain certification documentation, e.g., security targets and policies.
• Guide engineering and QA teams on certification requirements and compliance.
• Identify and remediate compliance gaps identified during testing.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess impacts on releases and priorities.
• Maintain cryptographic modules for FIPS compliance.
• Participate in regular meetings with labs and stakeholders to ensure milestones.
