Job summary

Ramp is hiring its first dedicated Financial Crimes Compliance Controls Senior Strategist to build and own the framework proving FCC controls work as risk evolves. This senior IC role sits at the intersection of financial-crimes compliance, controls, technology, data, and AI-enabled operations.

You will shape testing, documentation, and automation deployments. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Data to ensure FCC requirements are embedded in strategic PEDD initiatives,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in financial-crimes compliance, AML/BSA or sanctions.
• At least 3 years in technical compliance, controls, testing, QA, or similar.
• At least 3 years as a trusted advisor on risk-based controls.
• Experience developing or evaluating controls across manual and tech-enabled processes.
• Strong understanding of financial-crimes typologies and evolving risk.

Responsibilities

• Own FCC controls-effectiveness across manual procedures, detection rules, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Establish testing standards, evidence retention, issue tracking, and monitoring.
• Partner with PEDD initiatives to embed FCC requirements into product planning.
• Translate financial-crimes requirements into scalable workflows and controls.
• Lead AI and automation strategy with appropriate human oversight.
• Assess risks, identify gaps, and drive scalable solutions.
• Act as a secondary reviewer for FCC compliance reviews where needed.
