Job summary

Orionplacement is seeking a senior attorney to lead False Claims Act investigations and complex litigation for government contractors and commercial clients nationwide. This fully remote role offers significant autonomy, client responsibility, and the chance to expand a portable book of business while mentoring junior attorneys.

Candidates should have a JD, 10+ years private practice experience with FCA matters, and be prepared to obtain DC Bar admission before starting.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in any U.S. state.
• Portable book of business of at least $250,000.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage False Claims Act investigations and litigation.
• Represent clients before DOJ and IG offices.
• Defend FCA litigation including qui tam actions and settlements.
• Advise on FCA risk management, compliance programs, and disclosures.
• Oversee internal investigations and respond to subpoenas and inquiries.
• Counsel on suspension, debarment risks in government contracting.
• Develop and deliver FCA compliance guidance and training.
• Coordinate crisis management with multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead teams, mentor associates, and grow the practice.
• Maintain and expand client relationships with portable book of business.
