Job summary

Orionplacement is seeking a California-licensed litigation attorney for a fully remote role. Handle commercial and warranty litigation from inception to appeal, with California bar in good standing.

You will work with senior trial attorneys, draft pleadings, manage discovery, take depositions, and coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts while building a long-term litigation career.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar membership and good standing.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple matters.
• Client service mindset and collaborative approach.
• Experience with e-discovery and litigation tech is a plus.
• Law school transcript and writing sample required with application.

Responsibilities

• Handle commercial and warranty litigation from inception through resolution, trial, and appeal.
• Conduct legal research and translate issues into persuasive written work product.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Propound and respond to discovery and manage document discovery.
• Prepare for and conduct depositions; defend expert depositions as appropriate.
• Prepare and argue motions in state and federal court as experience allows.
• Interact with clients, witnesses, experts, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
• Manage case development, deadlines, and reporting to supervising attorneys and clients.
