Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a senior attorney to lead sophisticated False Claims Act investigations and complex litigation for government contractors and commercial clients nationwide. This role offers a fully remote arrangement with substantial autonomy, client responsibility, and growth opportunities within a collaborative national firm.

The candidate must have 10+ years in private practice, 5+ years in FCA matters, a portable book of at least $250,000, and the ability to obtain DC Bar

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in any U.S. state.
• Willingness to apply for DC Bar admission before start date.
• 10+ years of private practice legal experience.
• 5+ years of substantive FCA investigations and/or litigation experience.
• Portable book of business of at least $250,000.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and supervising associates.
• Strong written and verbal communication and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage sophisticated FCA investigations, litigation, and compliance matters.
• Represent clients before DoJ, IG offices, and other government authorities.
• Defend clients in FCA litigation, including qui tam actions and settlements.
• Advise clients on FCA risk management, disclosures, and compliance programs.
• Conduct and oversee internal audits and investigations involving potential FCA exposure.
• Coordinate crisis management and multidisciplinary teams on complex matters.
• Maintain and expand client relationships and grow the portable book of business.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to firm growth.
