Job summary

The State of Indiana's Department of Child Services is seeking a skilled supervisor to lead Family Case Managers and staff. You will ensure timely case handling, adherence to standards, and staff development within a supportive, mission-driven environment.

You will oversee performance, train teams, and align operations with state regulations, fostering safe, nurturing outcomes for children and families across Indiana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services (or relevant course study) required.
• 1+ years of human services or relevant experience in leadership or supervisory roles.
• 5+ years of human services experience with 1+ year in leadership roles.
• Related certifications and coursework may be considered for education or experience.
• Advanced knowledge of social work, casework, sociology and counseling.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize work of subordinate supervisors and staff and meet deadlines.
• Supervise and assign work; set standards per regulations and guidelines.
• Reassign work to maintain equitable distribution and cover caseloads.
• Monitor staff accountability and performance against goals.
• Train staff on new programs and developments and provide guidance.
• Interview applicants and make hiring recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure policy compliance and professional conduct in all contacts.
