Job summary

The company in Santa Clara is seeking an experienced Field Applications Engineer to support AI Data Center power solutions and high-power electronics development. You will contribute to 48V and 800V architectures, GaN/SiC technologies and advanced power conversion for AI infrastructure.

As a customer-facing technical leader, you will collaborate with R&D, product engineering and commercial teams to drive successful deployments, design reviews and prototypes while shaping future product roadmaps.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in power electronics or power conversion systems.
  • Experience with AC-DC and/or DC-DC converter design.
  • Knowledge of data center power architectures (48V and/or 800V preferred).
  • Experience with Wide Bandgap power semiconductors (GaN and/or SiC).
  • Matrix transformer design experience is highly desirable.
  • Digital power control and firmware development experience.
  • Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium.
  • Strong laboratory and validation skills using electrical test equipment.
  • Familiarity with high-current power supplies, thermal management and EMI/EMC compliance.

  • Troubleshoot thermal, EMI/EMC and reliability challenges.
  • Participate in customer design reviews, prototype bring-up and qualification activities.
  • Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations and application support.

  • Influence future product and technology roadmaps through customer engagement.
