Job summary

Mission Support and Test Services, LLC seeks a Senior Facility System Engineer for the NNSS PULSE project in Nevada. You will lead design, construction, turnover and commissioning of testbeds, and later serve as Cognizant System Engineer for critical facility systems including cranes, HVAC, refuge stations and fire protection.

The role requires ABET-accredited engineering credentials or equivalent, 5+ years’ experience in system engineering, and DOE safety- and security-clearance readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in ABET-accredited engineering; nuclear/aerospace degrees acceptable.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant engineering experience with systems engineering focus.
• Knowledge of codes and standards across disciplines and safety basis.
• Ability to lead design, testing, and qualification activities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Leads engineering support for line item projects and commissioning activities.
• Provides cognizant system engineering and design authority support.
• Manages configuration documentation and safety reviews.
• Oversees in-service inspections and technical surveillance
• Develops designs, strategies, and technical proposals
• Performs design and technical analyses using codes and standards
• Defines procurement specifications and coordinates with vendors
• Mentors technicians and project teams
