Job summary

HarbisonWalker International is seeking a Lead Facility Quality Assurance Technician to drive QA excellence in the plant. You will lead QA technicians, coordinate daily QA tasks, support nonconformance investigations, and ensure compliance with quality systems.

This role requires strong communication, coaching ability, and experience with ISO 9001 and Lean production. Proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalent.
BS degree in a related field preferred.
4–6 years in refractories/ceramics manufacturing with QA support.
Familiar with ISO 9001 quality management system procedures.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of refractory products and processes is a plus.
Lean production experience desired.
Experience with Oracle ERP is a plus.
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop Facility QA Technicians; support non-conformance investigations and CAPAs.
Back up for daily tasks such as press checks, final inspections, and finished goods testing.
Maintain QA data in the testing database; review and analyze results and support product disposition.
