Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to lead preventive maintenance and repair operations across company facilities. You will ensure safety, reliability, and aesthetics by following established schedules and directing on-site teams under a foreman’s guidance.

You will inspect equipment and fixtures, document wear, gather expense information, and determine replacement needs. You may train junior technicians and oversee project scopes at multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures by following established preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines.
• Inspect, cleans, and repairs facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
• Observes and documents signs of wear and tear.
• Gathers capital expense information.
• Recommends repair needs to eliminate ongoing and future repairs.
• Determines replacement needs.
• Documents preventive maintenance activities.
• Uses heavy machinery.
• May be assigned a Developmental Technician to accompany them for on-the-job training, including pickup at designated store locations and hands-on instruction for Technician-level associates.
• Delivers hands-on training sessions on safety, control troubleshooting, and system operations at company facilities, off-site locations, or vendor sites.
• Performs major and minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures and oversees work of less-experienced associates by determining scopes of work for projects.
• Serves as a job foreman on assigned work sites.
