Job summary

LCRA is seeking a Facility Operations Technician Sr for its Western Maintenance Facility to lead a team of technicians across critical sites in Texas. You will install, maintain, and optimize HVAC systems, including chillers and cooling towers, while coordinating projects and schedules.

The role requires at least four years in building operations and a valid driver’s license, with EPA Universal Certification as a plus.

Qualifications

Four or more years of experience in building operations and maintenance, including data center and central plant operations, commercial HVAC systems and controls.
Driver's license.

Responsibilities

Travel across various LCRA service areas throughout Texas which requires lodging out of town overnight for periods at a time.
Respond to critical service calls outside of normal business hours to prevent delays.
Perform advanced installation, troubleshooting, and repair to HVAC equipment of various sizes and configurations.
Conduct routing preventive and predictive maintenance tasks, including inspections, calibration, filter replacements, belt adjustments, and coil sanitization.
Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, DX units, heat pumps, ice machines, cooling towers, pumps, and motors.
Lead end-to-end HVAC installation, retrofit, and upgrade initiatives with planning, scheduling, resource distribution, and quality assurance.
