Job summary

Parsons is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Assessor to support facilities assessment programs for PG&E across California. You will evaluate field assessment data, assist with developing cost estimates, and provide technical support to facilities assessment teams working across multiple locations.

The role may require travel to PG&E facilities throughout California, with business travel expenses reimbursed according to company policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent) with 8+ years of building design, assessor or construction experience.
• Strong experience in facility assessments in military, institutional, campus, utility, or similar environments.
• Knowledge of project controls and cost estimating; ability to organize and analyze data using databases and software.

Responsibilities

• Locate, evaluate, and report on condition of major building systems and components.
• Provide professional recommendations for remaining service life and repair/replacement actions.
• Inventory building components and identify deficient conditions across building types.
• Advise corrective actions to support cost estimates with sufficient detail.
• Prepare narrative descriptions and ensure quality control for surveys, data input, and reports.
• Communicate schedule and project status to management; assist with findings reports.
• Complete data forms using UNIFORMAT II; review and interpret drawings.

Parsons is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Assessor to support facilities assessment programs for PG&E. In this role, you will evaluate and monitor field assessment data, assist with developing cost estimates, and provide technical support to facilities assessment teams working across multiple locations. This position may require travel to PG&E facilities throughout California, including: Davis, Eureka, Fresno, , Sacramento, San Luis Obispo, Stockton, West Sacramento, Chico/Paradise. Business travel expenses, including mileage, will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.

The selected candidate will collaborate with professionals in design, construction, planning, real estate, project controls, and related disciplines. Success in this position will require demonstrated experience conducting facility assessments in military, institutional, campus, utility, or comparable environments; knowledge of project controls and cost estimating; and the ability to organize, analyze, and track information using database and related software applications.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in locating, evaluating, and reporting on the current conditions of major building systems and their individual components.
• May provide professional recommendations for remaining service life and recommend repair or replacement actions for deficient conditions.
• Conducts inventory of building components and identifies deficient conditions for a variety of building types.
• The Facilities Assessor will advise corrective actions for associated deficient conditions in sufficient detail to support cost estimates.
• Responsible for written narrative descriptions, about the general condition of systems, and quality control for field surveys, data input and report output.
• Communicates with the management team on schedule and project status. Assists with the development of the assessment findings report.
• Completes data forms utilizing the UNIFORMAT II Classification standards. Reviews and interprets drawings.

Education and Professional Experience

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent work experience) is preferred, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant building design, assessor or construction experience. .

Salary Range: $74,800.00 - $130,900.00
