Parsons in the Bay Area is seeking experienced Project Managers to join the PG&E Infrastructure division, delivering high-visibility programs across San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland, and surrounding locations. You will lead scope, schedule, cost, quality, and commercial performance from planning through closeout.

The role requires deep lifecycle project management, collaborative teamwork, and strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant engineering management experience, preferably on large-scale programs.
• Proven track record managing complex infrastructure projects through all delivery phases.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, flexible, and collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and forecasting.
• Lead scope development and scope management activities.
• Track and follow up on instructions, commitments, and action items.
• Support client objectives by understanding contract terms and program requirements.
• Oversee development of key project documents (E xecution Plan, Health & Safety Plan, QA/QC Plan).
• Ensure compliance with program milestones and project deliverables.
• Prepare and distribute concise project summaries for team alignment.
• Direct and manage all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions.
• Participate in field activities, job walks, and safety analyses.
• Coordinate staffing requirements and engage with managers to define qualifications.
• Collaborate with facilities staff on project space and operations needs.
• Work with managers, engineers, and discipline leads on budgets and execution plans.
• Identify risks, overruns, or delays and implement corrective actions.
• Provide regular progress updates to management on milestones, risks, and issues.
• May participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and public meetings.

Job Description

Parsons is actively seeking experienced and driven Project Managers to join our PG&E Infrastructure division, supporting one of California’s most recognized and essential utility clients. These opportunities will be supporting PG&E in the Bay Area (San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Walnut Creek, San Ramon, Concord), providing the chance to work alongside a hallmark client on impactful, high-visibility programs. Candidates are required to be located within 60 miles of these locations — any business travel expenses incurred will be reimbursed, including mileage.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and forecasting to ensure successful project delivery.

• Lead scope development and scope management activities in alignment with project objectives.

• Track and follow up on project-related instructions, commitments, and action items to ensure accountability and progress.

• Support client objectives by developing a strong understanding of contract terms, program requirements, and corporate policies.

• Oversee the development and implementation of key project documents, including:

• Project Execution Plan

• Health and Safety Plan

• Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan

• Other required project documentation

• Ensure compliance with program and project milestones.

• Prepare and distribute concise project summaries for team alignment and reference.

• Direct and manage all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of assigned projects.

• Participate in field activities as needed, including job walks and safety hazard analyses.

• Coordinate with profit center and department managers to define qualifications and staffing requirements for key project roles.

• Partner with office facilities staff to address project space and operational needs.

• Work closely with managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and execution plans.

• Identify potential cost overruns, schedule delays, or scope changes and collaborate with project stakeholders to develop and implement corrective action plans.

• Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to management on progress, milestones, risks, and issues that may impact cost or schedule.

• May participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and attend public meetings in support of client initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering , or a related technical or business field.

• Minimum of 12 years of relevant engineering management experience , preferably on large-scale programs.

• Demonstrated success managing complex infrastructure projects through all phases of delivery.

• Strong knowledge of project controls, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and risk management.

• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, flexible, and collaborative team environment.

Salary Range: $125,100.00 - $225,200.00
