Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Heber City, Utah, seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to independently provide and maintain church-owned Meetinghouses, recreation facilities, and related properties. You will support HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and sound systems while ensuring a respectful, safe environment for worship and community activities.

You will follow preventive maintenance schedules, manage materials, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with contractors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 5 years related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to mentor and train others on technical functions.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA standards and Church safety policies.
• Ability to communicate clearly and read/write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled and emergency preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and sound systems.
• Repairs motors, pumps, cabinets, millwork, drywall, flooring, and hardware.
• Installs, maintains, and repairs doors, bonded woodwork, and finishes.
• Adheres to safety policies and documents daily work in tracking software.
• Mentors FM Technicians and trains on work-order software and customer engagement.
