Job summary

Walmart in Greenacres, FL seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment, inspect and repair assets, and document all activities. You will lead teams, coordinate work orders, and ensure safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures by following established preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines.
• Inspects, cleans, and repairs facilities, equipment, or fixtures and documents preventive maintenance activities.
• Responds to emergency calls and oversees work of less-experienced associates by determining scopes of work for projects.
• Leads and participates in teams, coordinates work orders, and ensures timelines and quality are met.
• Operates heavy machinery and powered equipment following safety procedures; conducts pre- and post-operation checks.
