Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking a disciplined Facilities Maintenance Mechanic to support DIW and IWW systems in our advanced semiconductor facility in the United States.

The role focuses on operation, maintenance, safety, and environmental compliance, with opportunity to assist in system startups and upgrades. The candidate should have hands-on mechanical experience, reading drawings and P&IDs, and strong troubleshooting abilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6+ years of experience in mechanical systems maintenance, preferably in a semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of DIW and IWW systems, including water purification, chemical dosing, and wastewater treatment processes.
• Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system performance and assist in data collection and analysis to ensure optimal operation and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and system upgrades.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of DIW and IWW systems, including pumps, valves, filters, tanks, and instrumentation.
• Support system startups, shutdowns, and changeovers in coordination with engineering and operations teams.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system performance, and incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including equipment engineering, EHS, and facilities operations.
• Respond to system alarms and emergencies, providing timely and effective resolution.
• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Should have working knowledge of PVAC, PCW, ChW, Steam, HotW, and Exhaust (Acid, VOC, Caustic, General) Systems.
• Would also be called upon to fill in as an operator on an occasional basis
