Job summary

GenMark Diagnostics, a Roche company, is seeking a Sr. Facilities Technician to oversee maintenance, safety and regulatory compliance of the facility.

You will perform routine HVAC and plant equipment maintenance, monitor systems, respond to alarms, and manage parts inventory while supporting validation protocols. The role requires strong knowledge of safety procedures, experience in regulated environments, and the ability to coordinate contractors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Technical Education with maintenance experience.
• 8+ years of maintenance experience preferred in biotech, cGMP or health-related environments.
• Clean and valid CA driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC and central plant equipment and monitor building systems.
• Handle internal facility work requests, respond to alarm alerts, and provide on-call coverage.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and service specialized systems; support validations.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, FDA and regulatory requirements; support QMS implementation.
• Coordinate contractor/site escorts, training, and cross-functional staff activities.
