The Sr Facilities Technician is responsible for hands‑on maintenance and repair work across electrical, mechanical, environmental and life safety systems, coordinates vendors, supports infrastructure projects and responds to facility incidents and emergencies. The role partners closely with operations, engineering and external service providers to ensure facility systems operate safely, reliably and within expected specifications. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, highly organized, comfortable in a 24×7 critical environment and brings strong commercial or mission‑critical facilities experience with a proactive, customer‑focused approach.

Responsibilities
  • Perform hands‑on facility maintenance and repairs, including low‑voltage electrical work such as breaker and fuse replacement, installation and removal of custom whips and receptacles, outlet and fixture work, and general support of PDUs and related infrastructure.
  • Support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous performance of critical facility infrastructure, including HVAC and humidity systems, UPS, transformers, switchgear, generators, electrical distribution systems, and emergency, fire and security systems.
  • Coordinate generator and UPS maintenance activities, perform or support load transfers, and generate MOPs for maintenance and repair projects to reduce operational risk in environments that cannot tolerate downtime.
  • Manage critical infrastructure vendors and maintenance contracts to ensure facility areas operate within specification, meet safety requirements and remain clean and orderly.
  • Conduct routine walkthroughs to identify potential repair items, monitor and respond to assigned tickets, and use problem and change management systems to record, track, update, and close facility‑related work.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external architectural, engineering, construction and service partners on facility maintenance, repairs, design support and implementation of infrastructure projects.
  • Provide facility uptime reporting, capacity planning statistics and input to budgetary and capital expenditure planning; process facility‑related invoices in a timely manner.
  • Maintain awareness of EPA, OSHA, fire and life safety codes, and property management requirements, and apply that knowledge to facility operations and compliance activities.
  • Participate in on‑call coverage and respond to emergency facility infrastructure situations as required; occasional travel may be required.
  • Work supportively with colleagues, operating in a manner that is consistent with 11:11’s Code of Business Ethics and Company Values.
  • Responsibly receive, transmit and handle company data and information per Company data handling agreements, work procedures and policies.
  • Review and follow company policies and guidelines, data privacy practices, including annual compliance training certification and policy acknowledgements.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional college coursework, technical training or equivalent related experience in facilities, electrical or mechanical disciplines preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in mission‑critical or critical facilities operations required; equivalent licensed electrician or licensed mechanical experience may be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems including UPS, transformers, power distribution systems, switching equipment, circuit breaker panels and wiring in high‑availability environments.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems related to heating, cooling and humidity control, as well as building management and environmental monitoring systems.
  • Demonstrated experience creating MOPs and BCPs and supporting structured maintenance, repair and change management processes.
  • Experience planning and executing facility or infrastructure projects in commercial or mission‑critical environments preferred.
  • Electrical license preferred and must be maintained if required for the role; electrical or mechanical training/certifications related to critical infrastructure are preferred.
  • Proficiency with Windows‑based applications and project planning tools, including Microsoft Word, MS Project and Visio, preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, analytical problem‑solving, multitasking, independent work habits, negotiation skills and a positive customer service attitude are required for success in the role.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work on‑site in a mission‑critical data center environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs/kgs, as required.
