Sodexo Ltd in Halifax is seeking a dedicated General Services Manager to lead integrated facilities services, including catering, cleaning, security and waste management. You’ll manage a team of six direct reports, build strong client relationships and ensure service delivery meets contractual targets.

You'll own day-to-day site operations, drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, COSHH and health and safety regulations, and manage budgets and resources to achieve

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a General Services Manager or similar senior role.
• Strong knowledge of facilities management across catering, cleaning, security and waste.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• IOSH Health & Safety qualification.
• Knowledge of HACCP, allergen management, COSHH and risk assessments.
• Experience in a regulated, compliance-focused environment.
• Good commercial awareness including budgets, labour costs and targets.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client/stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent leadership, communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Experience recruiting, training and developing colleagues.
• Strong IT skills and ability to use reporting systems.

Responsabilités

• Lead and oversee the delivery of integrated facilities management services, including catering, cleaning, security, waste management and administration.
• Manage a team of six direct reports, ensuring excellent service delivery across all departments.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders as a trusted point of contact.
• Take responsibility for day-to-day site operations, ensuring services meet standards and contractual requirements.
• Oversee catering operations with focus on quality, hygiene, allergen management and customer service.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, COSHH, Health & Safety and environmental legislation.
• Own site safety, including risk assessments, audits and corrective actions.
• Oversee security operations and incident reporting.
• Ensure waste management processes are safe and compliant.
• Manage budgets, financial performance, labour costs, forecasting and efficiencies.
• Review staffing levels, rotas and resources to maintain service delivery.
• Lead recruitment, induction, training and performance management.
• Promote learning and development including apprenticeships and qualifications.
• Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews with clear direction.
