Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking an experienced facilities/engineering leader responsible for managing a matrixed organization across multiple regions. The role drives maintenance standards, project execution, budget oversight, and KPI reporting in coordination with corporate and regional leaders.

The successful candidate will oversee budgets, construct plans, and ensure safety and environmental compliance while optimizing utility costs and space utilization.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree required in engineering or construction-related field.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering or construction management.
• 5+ years of experience managing construction projects in a corporate setting.
• Ideal candidate has semiconductor, clean room and/or laser related industry experience in engineering, manufacturing, or manufacturing engineering.

Responsibilities

• Work in a matrixed organization with responsibility to both the corporate functional leader and the region’s business leaders.
• Support local Facility leaders and manage diverse teams including internal stakeholders and external consultants, vendors, contractors and other resources.
• Develop and implement facility maintenance standards, procedures, and guidelines with KPI tracking and regular updates.
• Coordinate and develop project specifications, estimate cost and resources, hire resources and contractors, manage construction activity, and oversee schedules and budgets.
• Present capital project updates to leadership in standardized formats.
• Maintain facilities footprint metrics for the full region and report to the worldwide head of facilities.
• Enforce corporate Preventative Maintenance and KPI standards throughout the region.
• Plan, budget, and schedule facility modifications including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and costs.
