Job summary

Coherent is seeking a Project Planning & Execution leader to manage multiple semiconductor capital equipment installation projects. You will develop integrated schedules and coordinate across Equipment Engineering, Facilities, Manufacturing, and OEMs to ensure on-time delivery.

You will lead weekly installation coordination, monitor progress, manage risks, and drive standardized project execution practices across the organization, supporting Sherman operations and future manufacturing expansions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• Military technical leadership experience with project execution responsibilities.
• Equivalent combination of technical education, military training, and semiconductor capital project experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage multiple semiconductor capital equipment installation projects.
• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules from project release through production turnover.
• Coordinate project activities between Equipment Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Engineering, OEM suppliers, contractors, EHS, and supporting organizations.
• Ensure projects remain aligned with safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, resource constraints, and schedule impacts.
• Support development and implementation of standardized project execution methodologies across the organization.
• Lead weekly installation coordination meetings and project execution reviews.
• Verify work sequencing supports efficient installation and commissioning activities.
• Monitor contractor productivity and installation progress.
• Identify execution barriers and coordinate timely resolution.
• Support production readiness and equipment turnover activities.
• Identify technical, logistical, schedule, and resource risks early in the project lifecycle.
• Develop mitigation strategies with Engineering and project stakeholders.
• Maintain project risk and issue logs.
• Coordinate cross-functional issue resolution.
