Zusammenfassung

McFarland Johnson (MJ) seeks a Senior Buildings/Facilities Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary building projects in Hollywood, Florida. You will guide proposals, design, permitting, construction administration, and closeout, while growing client relationships and expanding MJ’s Florida presence.

The ideal candidate has a structural, civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering background with a Florida PE license and 10+ years of consulting/AE experience.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Active Florida PE license or eligibility to obtain Florida licensure.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in consulting engineering, multidisciplinary A/E services, building systems, or facilities project delivery.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and contributing directly to technical design and production.
• Strong understanding of consulting project economics, including scopes, fees, labor budgets, invoicing, and change management.
• Excellent client communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead projects from start to finish, including proposals, scopes and fees, design, permitting, construction administration, and closeout.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, quality, and risk while keeping clients informed and teams aligned.
• Coordinate architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and specialty disciplines to deliver complete, coordinated designs.
• Contribute to technical design and production work within your discipline, including calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reviews.
• Serve as the primary client contact for assigned projects, managing expectations, resolving issues, and identifying opportunities to support additional needs.
• Monitor project financial performance, including labor budgets, invoicing, scope changes, and additional services.
• Lead multiple projects or a client program while balancing deadlines, resources, and delivery commitments.
• Develop and maintain relationships with architects, airports, municipalities, counties, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, and other owners.
• Support regional growth through repeat business, new client relationships, proposal development, and participation in interviews and presentations.
• Mentor staff, support technical development, and collaborate with Facilities leadership on staffing and project pursuits.
